Thank You

I have been overwhelmed by the support of my cyber friends (new and old) this week. I have not laughed so much in ages and am in danger of buying up the whole of Edinburgh's tena supply. Thank you all for keeping me sane, making me and laugh and most of all for being my friends.

This clip from Defying Gravity from Wicked the musical sums this week up for me.

"Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

It's time to tryDefying gravity
I think I'll tryDefying gravity
And you can't pull me down!"

More ATC Fun

Been having fun making more ATC's today. Used my latin background stamp and then cut up some of the art book that Ginger bought and we split. What a bargain £5 for a 500 page book of images so we tore it to pieces.

Sad Day For Fun

Well myself and about 8 or 9 others have been banned from UKS for a week for "orchastrated bullying" As I said in my blog yesterday it was not orchastrated but merely a situation coming to a head. Many people have been pissed off with the inane and pointless threads that seem to be taking over UKS. I am really upset at the announcement in UKS that makes it look like we are bullies and that we had planned the whole thing. We did not plan it, no matter what anyones alleged blog entry said! I am guilty of creating a poll regarding "what is your favourite season" and for contributing to the polls of others and that's it. I am appalled at the way we have been treated however I am overwhelmed by the support people have given the banned members, many people choosing not to go to UKS for a week in protest.

My future with UKS? Well I need to think long and hard about that but at the moment its not a place I want to be.

Mad Hatters Came to Edinburgh

What a brilliant weekend, I have not laughed as much in ages.

The girls (Kirsty, Fran, Ginger and Jen) all arrived on Friday. A trip to monster mash complete with mad hads ensued. Yummy sausage and mash later we returned to the hotel for some serious drinking and drunken ballet.

Saturday was crop day. I got so little done as I was busy chatting. We cropped till the usual time of 5pm then decided that none of us had the energy to go out so we carried on cropping and got fish and chips in for dinner. A wander down Princess Street at about 9.30pm and a return to the bar for some of Fran's famously potent Honey Mead (aka bum juice)

Sunday was a much more leasurely affair with a guided tour of the Royal Mile for the non locals and a trip to the underground city in Edinburgh. I felt so sad waving the girls off and retreated to my laptop for comfort.

On my laptop I visited UKS and somehow the community forum became a very surreal and silly place, loads of people joined in having surreal silly fun, however most of the fun was taken completely out of context by some people which is a shame. I am upset by what I read on Clare's blog today and how she is being attacked. Clare is very remorseful today but seriously, it was not that criminal what she or any of the rest of us did. We all randomly and independantly started posting inane posts, for me as a sign of protest rather than the personal attack that it has been taken to be and it got silly, so what! Yes it maybe was not the best way to go about things, however sometimes we need to vent our frustration, we would not be human otherwise. Lesson learnt and in future I will ignore all inane posts and carry on talking to my friends and enjoying my scrapping, I will not raise my head in protest at anything, I will be meek like the little sheep I need to be. When others attack my sexuality, I will not complain I will merely rise above it.....oh wait there..... been there done that!

Mail Art

I have been involved in a Mail art tag swap. Basically you create a piece of art and post it and see what happens. I sent a tissue paper covered CD and this is what I received from Caz in Australia. It's made from a cork coaster and is gorgeous.

ATC Fever

Here are my architecture ATC's. I wanted to take a different route and look at interior architecture including the many gorgeous floor and ceiling tiles. Much use of diamond glaze on the central tiles as per usual.
